The document that blocks most shipments: the COC

The Certificate of Conformity must exist before the vehicle ships. Arranging it after departure risks the car arriving without valid conformity paper — and with the 3-year clock still running. CBT arranges pre-shipment inspection and conformity documentation as part of the export package; see live video inspection for how the condition check works.

What CBT prepares vs what the buyer provides

CBT Auto Export issues the commercial invoice, packing list, export customs declaration and arranges the COC and certificate of origin. The buyer side handles the Algerian import formalities — residency proof for the personal channel and the customs declaration at Algiers, Oran, Bejaia. Frequently asked questions

Which conformity documents are required?

Prepare proof of ownership, the foreign registration document, evidence of the vehicle's technical condition, and the applicable conformity documents (COC). Confirm the approved format and inspection body before shipment - missing or invalid documents may delay or prevent customs clearance.

Can the COC be issued after shipping?

It must be issued before shipment. Plan the inspection window into your schedule — it is days, not weeks, when arranged with the order.

Is a translation required?

Bring French or Arabic translations of key documents where requested by customs; your clearing agent will confirm the current practice at your port.
